Natural eating habits
In Paddock Paradise track systems, food is distributed unlimitedly in the form of high-quality, fibrous hay. This hay is preferably of organic origin, contains a wide variety of grasses and herbs and has a low content of carbohydrates. The feed is distributed across the Paddock Paradise using special feeding stations that stimulate more natural eating behavior, thus inviting the horse to more natural activity and exercise.
Naturally the horse will eat at various heights between ground level and theheight at the withers. For this reason we distribute the hay at different heights.
A diverse diet
Diversity contributes to a balanced intake of essential minerals and trace elements. Salt is always available and, if necessary, can be supplemented with small portions of vegetables, fruit or suitable and safe vitamin and mineral supplements.
In Paddock Paradise track systems we avoid using pastures as a source of food as this often leads to an increase in harmful bacteria in the horse's intestinal flora. This increase can cause various disorders and dis ease, of which laminitis and colic are well known risks.
